View Cart & Checkout Links to FastCart
Shoppers may return to your site to continue browsing. You need to provide a way for them to return to the shopping cart to check the items they have already chosen and to complete their purchase. You can do this with View Cart and Checkout links or buttons.
View Cart & Checkout Links
Link Type | HTML Code |
View Cart | <a href="http://www.fastcart.co.uk/cart/index.php?id=1223&action=showcart" target="_top"> View Cart </a> |
This link will send users to the normal shopping cart page that lists all the products they have added to their shopping cart and the cost so far. You can use any text you like in the link or you can use a button image.

Checkout | <a href="http://www.fastcart.co.uk/cart/index.php?id=1223&action=confirm" target="_top"> Checkout </a> |
If the shopper has already entered their contact details into FastCart, this link will send the shopper to the order confirmation page immediately prior to the payment page. The shopper has the opportunity to review the order and the details given prior to making their purchase. If the shopper has not yet entered their contact details, they will be sent to the contact details page instead. You can use any text you like in the link or you can use a button image. |
Using View Cart & Checkout Links
Place these links or buttons in logical / obvious places on your site where the shopper can see them. Do not make your shopper hunt for them. The easier you make it for the shopper to navigate your site, the more likely you are to make a sale.
Remember to use logical text in the links or buttons. Avoid making the shopper guess what a button or image will do - they may not "get it".
View Cart does just what it says on the tin. An image without text could be ambiguous - will it add products to the cart or will it take the shopper to the checkout? It might seem obvious to you, but will it seem obvious to the shopper?
